Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 20 June 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Skoolie mobile application and related services operated at skooliezw.com. By creating an account or using Skoolie, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Skoolie

Skoolie is an online learning platform for Primary, O-Level, and A-Level students in Zimbabwe and similar curricula. We provide recorded lessons, revision videos, self-examine practice tests, study planning tools, Ask & Learn teacher support, career guidance, and monthly parent progress reports.

2. Eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and be able to form a binding agreement to use Skoolie. Students under 18 should use the app with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. Account registration

4. Subscriptions and payments

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Skoolie may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or misuse the platform.

6. Educational content

Skoolie content is provided for educational support. While we work with experienced teachers and aim for syllabus coverage, we do not guarantee specific exam results, grades, or outcomes. Content may be updated, added, or removed as syllabi and materials evolve.

7. Ask & Learn and user submissions

When you submit questions, images, or other materials to Ask & Learn, you grant Skoolie a licence to use, store, display, and share that content with teachers and moderators for the purpose of answering your question and improving the learning library. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

8. Parent reports

By adding a parent or guardian email address, you authorise Skoolie to send monthly learning reports to that address. Reports reflect app usage data such as study time, active days, streaks, self-examine results, subject breakdowns, insights, and recommendations. Students are responsible for ensuring parent email addresses are correct and that parents consent to receiving these reports.

9. Intellectual property

All Skoolie branding, software, videos, text, graphics, and other materials are owned by Skoolie or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access content for your own learning while your subscription is active.

10. Offline downloads

Where the app allows offline downloads, content is licensed for personal use on your device only. Downloaded content remains subject to these Terms and may become unavailable if your subscription expires.

11. Push notifications

Skoolie may send push notifications for study reminders, account updates, and important service messages. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.

12. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or misuse the platform. You may stop using Skoolie at any time. Upon termination, your right to access premium content ends, subject to any legal retention requirements.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

Skoolie is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service, though we strive to keep the platform reliable.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skoolie and its team shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Skoolie in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

15. Privacy

Your use of Skoolie is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Skoolie after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe, unless otherwise required by law.
